A professional Artist in various guises for over 25 years. Working as an illustrator, a visualiser in advertising, a scenic painter in the leisure industry and now a Muralist, Pasticheur and Copyist. I work only to commission producing a diversity of subjects from contemporary and period portraiture to Flemish still lives, from Equestrian to Landscape, etc. etc.

I have produced entire collections of paintings for two English country houses comprising of canvases all painted and aged to fit comfortably within their period surroundings and of subjects specified by the client. This gives you a unique opportunity to possess that rare or special picture which is maybe  unavailable or completely beyond financial reach.

How about a family portrait in true C17 style or your pets’ portrait with the look of Stubbs?  Or even painted in the guise of, for example, a Soldier or a Judge in the 19C manner of Belgian artist Thierry Poncelet. (see portrait of Charlie Rolls – beloved pet of the Chairman of the Rolls-Royce enthusiasts club.) Go on have some fun!!!

 However, don’t forget that the creation of each picture is a serious business and can demand a good deal of research, hard work and attention to detail. Quality is never compromised.

I often work for and alongside Interior Designers on projects at home and overseas, both commercial and domestic. Hotels, Nightclubs and Leisure facilities have all fallen under my brush!

Murals are increasingly in demand and I have worked on numerous projects around Europe, ranging from painted roller blinds to entire themed rooms (see Pompeiian dining room, below, recently featured on anglian television, footage to follow shortly). I have also produced canvasses which are utilised as back drops to game and poultry counters in a top food hall in Berlin and even designed and decorated the exterior of a bus on behalf of Clacton Pier in Essex.

During the last few years I have also taught classes in the art of Trompe l’oeil both in the UK and the Netherlands, alongside a colleague who is a paint effects specialist. Therefore I can also offer marbling, faux bois, and many more finishes as a part of my professional services.
